🔎 Company design services sale strategy | 2024

An unusual task regarding my company's strategy. It turns out that researching business processes to improve strategy is quite similar to researching software UX.

The challenge

In a team with two other researchers, we were to find out what are the possibilities of increasing revenue from the sale of design services.

Approach

1. I started with facilitating workshops with the team and the project supervisor to plan the research. For this purpose, I used the research planning framework created by Iga Mościchowska.
2. Because the topic required going broadly, but also deepening specific business cases, we chose interviews with people from the c-level, sales people and managers.
3. To supplement the knowledge (what emerged from the above workshops), we also released a company-wide survey on cooperation with designers. This was to find the most common problems and quantify them.
4. At the end, after time-consuming IDIs analyses, we focused on generating ideas for the strategy improvements. I was responsible for brainstorm and ideation workshops with the team.

Output

  • a detailed description of how services are sold in the company, with particular emphasis on design services,
  • list of main problems in offering and selling design,
  • proposed solutions and recommendations.

🔎 Wheelky — glasses for people with quadriplegia | 2020

Concept of a solution that facilitates the performance of daily activities by a person with mobility disabilities without the help of third parties. In a team of 5, I conducted interviews with potential users of the solution, designed it and tested the prototype. The project was awarded during hackathon Wheelkathon 2020 organised by Leżę i Pracuję 🎉

🔎 Food network — solution for covid19 times | 2020

A prototype of networking site for exchanges of large scale food surpluses and shortages associated with covid19. My role: in-depth interviews and UX/UI design. The project was realised during UNA Europa hackathon.

🔎 Mobook — mobile app for beauty service providers | 2019

My first student UX project. From discovery through strategy and business model to tested UI of a mobile application.

  • I conducted usability tests in service providers' cars,
  • I conducted in-depth interviews with hairdressers while sitting in a hairdressing chair,
  • I came to the "amazing" conclusion that one of the main competitors of our application is... a traditional paper calendar. I was still learning at that time and today I consider it as a valuable lesson.
